The cool kids at Popdose have entrusted my with a weekly column with a brief to step out of my comfort zone, bring my kind heart and trusting nature to some of the less-promising corners of pop culture, and see what redeeming value may be found there.
It gets ugly pretty much immediately.
The column is called How Bad Can It Be?, and the inaugural installment looks at the least-known best-selling book of last year, The Shack; a book that will have you asking, "Who put this in my Christmas stocking, anyway?"
